HALL OF FAME:

The South African Hall of Fame had its glittering induction ceremony on 24 February 2009 at Emperor's Palace in Gauteng.

Again a number of well-known South African sportsmen and sportswomen were inducted into such hall of fame.

At the ceremony, Colin Webster was informed by Naas Botha (yes, of Springbok rugby fame, and who is the originator of the Hall of Fame), that from 2010 Mind Sports would be able to make nominations of players who have excelled in their fields to be inducted into the Hall of Fame.

So, it won't be long before board gamers, eSportsmen, and wargamers of exceptional talent will be acknowledged by the same organisation that has acknowledged the likes of Brian Mitchell, Bob Hewitt, Alan Donald, Bruce Fordyce, Graeme Pollock, Gary Player, and so many more South African greats.
